A short while ago we were in touch with the popular YouTube channel Noclip - Video Game Documentaries as they were producing a new documentary about DMA Design who famously created the successful Lemmings game and further down the line Grand Theft Auto.
As Noclip are based out in California, USA they were going to find it challenging to capture the footage they needed of Dundee and in particular the Lemming statues that are on display there. We were more than happy to be a part of gathering footage for the documentary and spent the day in Dundee in November capturing what was needed. It was incredible to discover how many people in the city were knowledgeable about the story of DMA Design and many people came to speak to us when they saw the camera set up by the Lemming statues. The story of the company seems to be one that the people of Dundee are very proud of.
The finished documentary was released by Noclip at the end of December as it's a really interesting watch, especially if you're interested in gaming and the stories of how these popular games came to be. If you are keen to view it follow the link below to check it out.
