Role Description

Do you want to own your craft, work directly with clients, and create high-quality videos that people care about?

We partner with organisations to tell stories that feel human and are visually sharp. We are looking for a Camera Operator / Editor to join our team in Aberdeen and make an impact from day one. This is a full-time role requiring technical precision and a creative eye to produce high-quality video content. Responsibilities include handling camera operations, setting up lighting, shooting videos in various environments, interacting with clients, and editing footage into compelling final products aligned with Urbane Media's storytelling objectives. The role also involves collaboration with other team members to meet project goals and uphold safety standards, particularly in high-risk environments.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Camera Operation and handling professional camera equipment
  • Expertise in Lighting and Video Production techniques
  • Ability to work in onshore, offshore, and industrial settings. GWO or BOSIET/FOET certification is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, creative storytelling ability, and excellent collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe video editing software and workflows
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in high-risk or industrial environments
