This fast-paced project was an exhilarating experience for us, and we sought to capture the thrill and energy of a racetrack in the final production.

For this promotional project, we were eager to convey Lokring’s reliable, quick and efficient service in an exciting film. Being aware of Lokring’s sponsorship of British Touring Car Champion Gordon Shedden, we pitched the idea of comparing the role of the company’s weld-equivalent technology within the energy sector to the role of a pit crew in a racing team.  

Spending the day with Shedden and Knockhill Racing Circuit’s engineers, we were able to get close to the action by rigging cameras to the outside of the car as well as the in side of the vehicle. Having been granted permission to use our drones by Knockhill, we navigated our aerial technology over the race track to obtain dramatic wide shots of Shedden speeding around the course.

This shoot required thorough planning to ensure we captured all necessary footage swiftly and safely. This crucial preparation ensured our designated filming time ran smoothly and quickly for everyone involved, as the race track was open to paying customers on the day.

With a high-speed, breathtaking campaign clearly portraying the company’s services and values, Lokring confidently displayed the final production at Offshore Europe in 2019 alongside a personal appearance from Gordon Shedden.
